We promise no boring lectures. By focusing on a specific topic determined by the client and with no set agenda, participants learn by taking part in activities that allow each person to identify the triggers that most effect them. Then as each person participates and interacts with the horses, he or she learns new strategies to cope with and overcome those everyday problems and situations that occur in work and life. As a group, each participant learns how to better communicate their needs to each other in order to achieve success as a team. It is a powerful training technique because horses respond to the energy that is being projected and ‘mirror’ it back to the participant which provides immediate feedback creating invaluable opportunities for learning experiences. A team that works together with positive energy in all their relationships has unlimited potential for growth and creativity within their organization. The agenda is intentionally left vague in order to allow the horses and the experience to dictate the outcome and identify the tools most helpful to each participant.

This custom program in leadership and team building development is a positive approach to the enhancement of individual leadership, teamwork or group interaction. Through kinesthetic learning, it promotes leadership skills, confidence, trust, communication, creativity and problem solving skills. To effectively lead others, you must first understand and lead yourself. Horses are both leaders and followers depending on their herd hierarchy. In order to survive, their natural instincts allow them to determine almost instantly who is worthy of being called a leader. Learning what horses can teach us about basic life skills is an interesting and often fun approach to awaken our capacity for authentic empowerment. Self empowered individuals make healthy behavior choices and practice mindful awareness of thoughts, feelings and emotions which in turn allows them to be powerful people within any organization. The Energy Leadership Index (ELI) Assessment can be taken by individuals or leaders as a proven way to measure how an individual perceives and approaches work and life and reacts to different circumstances and experiences. As individuals, we view the world through filters (based on our experiences, values, assumptions, etc.). Those filters will either limit what we see (like tunnel vision) or expand what we see (like a prism) and, thus, impact how we perceive and what we think about our circumstances. This, in turn, impacts how we show up in different situations. The Energy Leadership assessment shows leaders and their teams how shifting their energy to higher levels by raising their level of awareness can, in turn, raise their level of success in all areas of life. Learning the principles of Energy Leadership is taught during the full day training sessions and will become an invaluable tool in your organization’s level of success! The assessments and debriefing by our Master Practitioner can be taken either before or after the training.

Team Building at Story Book Meadows



Demonstration of Team Building using horses to improve communication and build stronger teams. This group learned that their positive energy in the beginning was encouraging for the horse to co-operate but once they ‘broke the rules’ the team became less functional and the horse no longer trusted their motives and decided he wasn’t going to co-operate any longer. What could the team have done to keep this as a positive experience for the horse and empower them as a group to succeed?
